glyceria|glɪˈsɪərɪə| [mod.L. (R. Brown Prodromus Floræ Novæ Hollandiæ (1810) 179), f. Gr. γλυκερός sweet, in reference to the leaves and roots of some species.] A plant belonging to a widespread genus of aquatic grasses so named, of the family Gramineæ. Cf. sweet-grass.
