‖ typhlitis Path.|tɪˈflaɪtɪs| [mod.L., f. Gr. τυϕλόν the cæcum or blind gut (neut. of τυϕλός blind) + -itis.] Inflammation of the cæcum, cæcitis (often including that of the appendix vermiformis, now distinctively called appendicitis).
