genip West Indian.|ˈdʒɛnɪp| [? short f. next.] attrib. in genip-tree, a name applied to Genipa americana, a small tree of the family Rubiaceæ; also to certain similar trees of the family Sapindaceæ, esp. Melicocca bijuga and M. paniculata.
