Pharm.|trəʊˈpɪkəmaɪd| [f. tropic a.2 + amide n., perh. influenced by the structurally related picoline n.] A short-acting muscarinic antagonist, C17H20N2O2 , administered topically to the eye in order to produce dilatation of the pupil and cycloplegia during ophthalmological examination; N-ethyl-N-(4-pyridylmethyl)tropamide.
