Of, pertaining to, or designating the motor neurones with fibres of small diameter which innervate the intrafusal fibres (spindles) of muscle.
1958Hunt & Paintal in Jrnl. Physiol. CXLIII. 195 The motor fibres to the spindle have been designated γ efferents by Leksell (1945) and small motor fibres by Kuffler et al. (1951).
