‖ triclinium Roman Antiq.|traɪˈklɪnɪəm, trɪˈklaɪnɪəm| Pl. -ia. [L. triclīnium, a. Gr. τρικλίνιον, dim. of τρίκλῑνος, as n. a dining-room with three couches, f. κλῑ́νη couch, bed.] A couch, running round three sides of a table, on which to recline at meals; a table-couch; also, a room for eating in; a dining-room.
