trichord, n. and a.|ˈtraɪkɔːd| [ad. Gr. τρίχορδος three-stringed, f. τρι-, tri- three + χορδή string, chord.] a. n. A musical instrument of three strings; a three-stringed lyre or lute. b. adj. Having three strings to each note: applied to a pianoforte in which most of the keys have three strings each.
