transcalescent, a. rare.|-kəˈlɛsənt| [f. trans- + L. calēscent-em, pr. pple. of calēscĕre to grow hot, to glow; cf. prec., and fluorescent.] Properly, Beginning to be transcalent; but in quot. = transcalent. So ˌtranscaˈlescence, the property of being transcalescent.
