Foosball, n. N. Amer. Brit. |ˈfuːsbal|, U.S. |ˈfuːzbɔːl| Forms: 19– Foosball, 19– foosball, 19– fooseball [Representing a non-naturalized pronunciation of German Fußball football (> n. + Ball ball n.1).] A table football game in which players rotate rods attached to opposing ranks of miniature representations of footballers in order to direct a ball into their opponent's goal.
