floc|flɒk| [f. flocculus.] A flocculent mass of fine particles and colloidal material.

XXVI. 259 When sewage containing a suitable supply of dissolved oxygen is agitated..the fine suspended matter and the colloidal substances here gather into small aggregations called flocculi or floc.
