flextime Also Flextime. [f. flexible a. + time n.; cf. G. Gleitzeit, lit. ‘sliding time’.] = flexitime. Flextime is a proprietary term for a timing device used to record the number of hours worked by employees (Trade Marks Jrnl. (1972), 9 Feb. 251/2; Official Gaz. (U.S. Patent Off.)
