‖ Tisha b'Av|ˈtiʃa bɔv| Also Tisha be-Ab, Tisha Bov, etc. [Heb. tiš‘āh bə'āḇ.] The ninth day of the month Av, on which both the First and the Second Temples are said to have been destroyed: observed by Jews as a day of mourning.
