In 1911 Wolff and Kishner prepared from fenchonehydrazone an isomeric hydrocarbon having completely different properties... This hydrocarbon was designated fenchane, whilst for Zelinski's hydrocarbon the name isobornylane was adopted. [Note] isoBornylane is also termed α-fenchane.
