† thorough-ˈsee, v. Obs. [OE. þurh séon, f. þurh thorough, through adv. + séon to see: cf. OHG. durhsehen, Ger. durchsehen.] trans. To see through (lit. and fig.: cf. see v. 24). Hence † thorough-ˈseeing vbl. n., the action of this vb.; ppl. a. that sees through; † thorough-ˈseeable a., capable of being seen through, transparent.
