theopathy|θiːˈɒpəθɪ| [f. theo- + -pathy. Cf. Gr. θεοπάθεια the suffering of God.] Sympathetic passive feeling excited by the contemplation of God; susceptibility to this feeling; sensitiveness or responsiveness to divine influence; pious sentiment. Cf. theopathetic.
