teno- combining element, arbitrarily formed from Gr. τένων tendon: cf. tenonto-. tenography |tɛˈnɒgrəfɪ| [-graphy], description of tendons. teˈnology [-logy], that part of anatomy which relates to the tendons. teˈnorrhaphy [Gr. ῥαϕή a seam], suture of a tendon. ˈtenoˌsuture [L. sūtūra a seam], = tenorrhaphy. ˌteno-synoˈvitis [see synovia and -itis], inflammation of a tendon and its sheath.
