‖ erastes, n.|ɛˈræsteɪs, -z, -iːz| Pl. erastai. [Gr. ἐραστής ‘(heterosexual or homosexual) lover’, f. ἐρᾶν to be in love with.] In ancient Greece, an older man who desires or pursues a younger man (known as an eromenos).
