2. enhanced radiation: ionizing radiation of increased intensity; spec. (freq. attrib.) that from certain low-yield thermonuclear weapons which produce less blast and heat, so as to be harmful to life but less destructive of property (cf. neutron bomb s.v. neutron 2).
