‖ tarsia|ˈtɑːsɪə| Also 7 tersia. [a. It. tarsia ‘marquetry or small inlaid workes of diuers colours of bone, horne, wood or Iuorie’ (Florio).] A kind of mosaic inlaid work in wood of various colours and shades. Also attrib. as tarsia-work.
