endosulfan, n.|ɛndəʊˈsʌlfən| Also -sulphan. [f. endo- + sulfa- + -an.] A pesticide used on fruit, vegetables, and forage against aphids, beetles, mites, slugs, etc., and consisting of two isomers of a sulphur-containing compound, C9H6Cl6O3S , related to endrin.
