Elmenteitan, a.|ɛlmɛnˈteɪtən| [f. Elmenteita, a lake in Central Kenya + -an.] Of, or relating to, the mesolithic culture which belongs to the Makalian wet phase, and which was found in deposits of the East African lake Elmenteita by Dr. L. S. B. Leakey in 1927. Also as n., a member of this culture; the culture itself.
