Electra|ɪˈlɛktrə| Name in Greek tragedy of the daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra, responsible for the murder of the latter, used attrib., esp. in Electra complex, a term used by psychoanalysts to denote a daughter's feelings of attraction towards her father and hostility towards her mother.
