Gr. δυσϕορία malaise, discomfort, f. δύσϕορος hard to bear, f. δυσ- dys- + ϕέρειν to bear.] A state or condition marked by feelings of unease or (mental) discomfort (see quots.). Hence dysphoric |dɪsˈfɒrɪk| a., pertaining to, characteristic of, or characterized by dysphoria.
