dynamogen|daɪn-, dɪˈnæməʊdʒɪn| [mod. f. dynamo- + -gen taken in sense of ‘producing’, ‘producer’.] Nitromagnite; a high explosive (for which the name ‘dynamagnite’ was first proposed), consisting of a mixture of nitro-glycerine and prepared hydrocarbonate of magnesia. Known in U.S. as ‘Hercules powder’.
