dragon's blood A bright red gum or resin, an exudation upon the fruit of a palm, Calamus Draco. Formerly applied also to the inspissated juice of the dragon-tree, Dracæna Draco, and to exudations from Pterocarpus Draco, Croton Draco, and other plants.
