ˈdoited, a. Sc. [Of uncertain origin: perh. a variant of doted. As the oi, however, is here a true diphthong, the form is to be distinguished from Sc. words in which oi was merely a fashion of spelling long ō.] Having the faculties impaired, esp. by age.
