dittography|dɪˈtɒgrəfɪ| [f. as dittogram + -graphy; cf. Gr. διττογραϕούµενον a double reading.] In Palæography and Textual Criticism: Double writing; the unintentional repetition of a letter or word, or series of letters or words, by a copyist. So ˈdittograph, a letter or series of letters thus repeated; dittoˈgraphic a., of the nature of a dittograph.
