dissilient, a.|dɪsˈsɪlɪənt| [ad. L. dissilient-em, pr. pple. of dissilīre to leap or spring asunder, fly apart, f. dis- 1 + salīre to leap.] Leaping asunder, springing apart; spec. in Bot. bursting open with force, as do some ripe capsules.
