‖ succinea Zool.|səkˈsɪnɪə| Pl. -eæ, eas. [mod.L. (Draparnaud), fem. of succineus, f. succinum amber, succin.] Any gasteropod of the genus of this name: so called from the transparent texture and amber colour of the shell.
