subordinationism Theol.|səbɔːdɪˈneɪʃənɪz(ə)m| [f. prec. + -ism.] The doctrine that the second and third persons of the Trinity are inferior, in order or in essence, to the first person. Hence subordiˈnationist, one who maintains this doctrine; also attrib. or as adj.
