disconˈtinuˌor Law. [f. discontinue v. + -or.] The tenant in tail whose alienation of an estate has caused a discontinuance.
1768Blackstone Comm. III. 178 The law will not suppose the discontinuor to have aliened the estate without power so to do, and therefore leaves the heir in tail to his action at law, and permits not his entry to be lawful. |
