ambleocarpous, a. Bot.|ˌæmbliːəʊˈkɑːpəs| [mod. f. Gr. ἀµβλό-εσθαι to miscarry, come to nought + καρπ-ός fruit + -ous: the e in the second syllable is not etymological.] Having the seeds entirely, or in great part, abortive.
