digoxin Chem.|dɪˈdʒɒksɪn| [f. digitalis + toxin.] A crystalline glycoside, C41H64O14, obtained from the leaves of the woolly foxglove, Digitalis lanata, and used chiefly in the treatment of heart-diseases.
