dideoxyinosine, n. Pharm.|ˌdaɪdiːɒksɪˈɪnəʊsiːn| [f. di-2 + deoxy- + *inosine n.] Any of several isomeric purine nucleoside analogues which inhibit the replication of certain viruses; spec. (in full 2′,3′-dideoxyinosine), one which has been used in the treatment of HIV infection.
