‖ diapedesis Path.|ˌdaɪəpiːˈdiːsɪs| [mod.L., a. Gr. διαπήδησις, f. διαπηδά-ειν to ooze through, f. δια- through + πηδά-ειν to leap, throb. In mod.F. diapédèse (Paré 16th c.).] The oozing of blood through the unruptured walls of the blood-vessels.
