exfoliative, a. and n.|ɛksˈfəʊlɪətɪv| [a. F. exfoliatif, -ive, f. exfolier, ad. L. exfoliāre: see exfoliate v. + -ive.] A. adj. ‘Capable of causing, or favourable to, exfoliation’ (Syd. Soc. Lex. 1884).
