descriptum|dɪˈskrɪptəm| Pl. -ta. [a. L. dēscrīptum, neut. pa. pple. of dēscrībēre to describe.] a. Linguistics. (Brøndal's term for) a sentence-element that has the function of numeration. b. Philos. The object for which a description, or the descriptive element of a sentence, stands; a thing given by description.
