    • -phile is attached to roots and sometimes words to form nouns with the meaning "lover of, enthusiast for (a given object):''biblio- + -phile → bibliophile (= lover of books);Franco- + -phile → Francophile (= lover of France or French things).
    • -phile is also attached to roots to form nouns with the meaning "a person sexually attracted to or overly interested in (a given object)'':pedo- + -phile → pedophile (= someone with a sexual attraction for children).
