Scientists are building up a photographic database of the rare and endangered natterjack toad, in a bid to ensure its survival in Scotland.

The Heritage Lottery Fund is also supporting efforts to protect natterjack toads SNH wildlife ecologist Jenny Bryce said it was an important project.
