The safety regulator also called for training and oversight of aeromedical examinations, the checks pilots have to undertake.

“None of these health care providers reported any aeromedical concerns to authorities,” the investigators’ report said.

The bill does introduce a requirement for pilots to take an online course to familiarize themselves with aeromedical information every two years.
