Ms Rothery was hit with the £55,000 bill after opposing an injunction by the company and landowners while occupying land near Blackpool.

Taylor said at least "six or seven clubs" including Crewe, Manchester City, Blackpool, Leeds, Stoke and Newcastle were connected with "particular individuals".

Blackpool said they had not received any information from the authorities but that if they were to do so the club would “provide every assistance”.
