The University of Cincinnati's team say they will achieve magnetic levitation using the Arx Pax hover engines.

HTT announced Monday that it had licensed a technology called “passive magnetic levitation,” which it says would result in a more energy efficient system.

The system is "a cheaper, safer alternative" to regular magnetic levitation, or maglev, which is currently in operation powering high-speed trains in China and Europe.
