Species in the family Apidae—honey bees and bumble bees—are ideal subjects for citizen-scientist contributions to experimentation and data collection.

It is not of the happiest, for all the Apidae, with the exception of certain parasites perhaps, are producers of honey.

I propose to enquire if the poison of the Bee, the chief of the Apidae, is suitable for a surgery that paralyses without killing.
