Oleander, ō-lē-an′dėr, n. an evergreen shrub with lance-shaped leathery leaves and beautiful red or white flowers, the Rose Bay or Rose Laurel.

It has lance-shaped leaves, male and female flowers in globular heads, and usually on separate trees.

Ash trees have lance-shaped, winged seeds, borne in profuse clusters, and often held well into the winter.
