Last month, the critically endangered short-nosed sea snake, thought extinct, was rediscovered off the West Australian coast when two were photographed mid-courtship.

A wildlife officer spotted two courting short-nosed sea snakes while patrolling in Ningaloo marine park on the state’s mid-north coast.

Flying has been shown to be particularly hazardous to short-nosed or snub-nosed dogs.
