Most days, Mr. Zaragoza would be directing construction workers at one of a handful of luxury condominium developments around the city.

The blaze was possibly caused by the use of a defective electric heater and it engulfed the fifth-floor Zaragoza apartment.

Authorities say the couple may be using the aliases “Lisa Zaragoza,” ”Ana Zaragoza” and “Hugo Zaragoza.”
