It’s a century late, but family and friends helped the 113-year-old Yisrael Kristal celebrate his bar mitzvah last weekend in southern Israel.

Yisrael Kristal celebrated his bar mitzvah last weekend, reading the Torah and enjoying the company of his family, who danced, sang and threw candies.

Yisrael Kristal, who lives in Israel, will celebrate the Jewish coming-of-age ceremony with family and friends in a synagogue in Haifa, his daughter said.
