Te Deum

- an ancient Latin hymn (= religious song), praising God. It is traditionally sung on special occasions in morning church services, in Latin in the Roman Catholic church and in English in the Church of England. In Latin it begins with the words Te Deum laudamus, meaning ‘We praise you, O God.’
