Rainbow Warrior

- a ship owned by the organization Greenpeace, used by them in protests against damage done to the environment at sea. In 1985 it was sunk by French soldiers as it took part in protests against French nuclear testing in the South Pacific Ocean. One member of the crew was killed. A new ship, Rainbow Warrior II, replaced it in 1989. This in turn was replaced by Rainbow Warrior III in 2011.
