Christopher Reeve

- (1952-2004) a US actor best known for his role as Superman in four films. His other films included The Bostonians (1984) and Remains of the Day (1993). Reeve fell from his horse while riding in 1995 and became paralysed (= unable to move his body). In 1996 he established a charity which has given a lot of money for research into such injuries.
